Flighty for Android? Bring your flights to FlightDex

Flighty is an iPhone app, and its own site says there are no immediate plans for an Android version. If you have moved to an Android phone, your flight history does not have to stay behind: FlightDex can import the file Flighty exports.

Step by step

  1. Export from Flighty. On your iPhone, open Flighty and go to Settings → Account Data → Export Your Flights. Flighty gives you a CSV file.
  2. Put the file on your Android phone, in whatever way you usually move a file from one phone to another.
  3. Open the importer in FlightDex. On the You tab, tap Bring your flights from another app, and choose Flighty as the file’s source.
  4. Say whether you flew them. The file does not record which flights you were on and which you only followed, so FlightDex asks. Either they all go into your Passport, or they wait under Unsorted for you to sort.
  5. Choose the file, then read the preview. Nothing is saved until you have seen what will happen to every row, and confirmed it.

What becomes of each row

The preview splits your file into three lists. New flights are added to your Passport. Matched flights are ones FlightDex already has, from an earlier import or from a tracked flight that has landed; if the Flighty row knows something the existing flight does not, such as the aircraft or the time in the air, that detail is filled in, and the preview names it. Not imported rows each carry their line number and the reason, so you can see exactly which ones did not come across and why. Run the same file twice and the second run adds nothing: every flight it could import is already there.

What you are moving to

FlightDex is a live flight tracker designed for Android: a home-screen widget and, with Pro, a live notification while you fly and a full-screen live map. The record you bring with you stays free and is kept for good. On top of it:

Importing costs nothing and needs no account. Your Flighty file is read on our server and then discarded; only the flights in it are kept.

Questions

Is there a Flighty app for Android?

No. Flighty is an iPhone app. Its own Android page, checked on 2 October 2026, says: “While we’d love to bring Flighty to Android users someday, it’s not in our immediate plans.” Read Flighty’s Android page.

Can I bring my Flighty flights with me?

Yes. In Flighty, export your flights as a CSV file from Settings → Account Data → Export Your Flights. Then, in FlightDex, open the You tab and tap Bring your flights from another app. You see what will happen to every row before anything is saved. Importing is free and needs no account.

What is free in FlightDex?

Adding flights, your flight history and Passport, importing, boarding passes kept on your phone, trip notes and packing lists, the home-screen widget, your year in review, sharing a flight as a link, and status refreshed when you open the app, from 24 hours before departure to landing, are all free, with no ads and no account. Live status, alerts, the live map, airport boards and export are part of FlightDex Pro. See the free plan and Pro side by side.

Does FlightDex have a Passport?

Yes. The Passport is your record of the flights you have flown, with your totals and stamps, and it is free and kept for good. Flights you import go straight into it. A flight you track adds itself once FlightDex sees it land: with Pro, which follows it live, as it lands; on the free plan, it can add itself when you open the app after the landing and its status is refreshed.
