A flight log and travel Passport for Android
Every flight you take becomes part of your Passport: a running record of how far you have flown, how long you have spent in the air, and every country and airport along the way. It is free, and it is kept for good.
What your Passport counts
Your Passport adds up every flight you were on:
- flights taken, and the total distance, in miles or kilometres to match your phone;
- hours in the air;
- countries, airports and airlines;
- your net delay: time lost to late arrivals, less time gained on early ones;
- an estimate of the CO₂ your flights produced, marked as an estimate.
A world map draws every route you have flown, and milestones along the way earn stamps. A Year in Review card sums up each year of flying, ready to share.
Only the flights you were on
Tracking a flight is not the same as flying it. A flight you added to watch, such as a relative’s or one you are collecting someone from, is kept apart and never added to your totals. When the app cannot tell which kind a flight is, it puts it under Unsorted and asks you, rather than guessing. A cancelled flight never counts.
Kept for good, and free
Your complete history and your Passport are on the free plan, and they stay there. There is no twelve-month window and no older years held back behind a subscription. You do not need an account to start, either: sign in only when you want your flights on a second phone.
Bring the flights you have already logged
If you kept a log in another app, you can bring it with you. FlightDex reads that app’s export file, shows you what will happen to every row before anything is saved, and adds the flights to your Passport. See which apps you can import from, and every other way to add a flight.
Changing apps altogether? There are short guides for coming to Android from iPhone, for switching flight trackers on Android, and for when your old flight app has closed.
More with Pro
FlightDex Pro adds analysis on top of the record:
- Insights: your on-time record, the airlines, routes and aircraft you fly most, when in the day you tend to fly, and how each year compares;
- Records: your longest flight, and your longest time in the air;
- Export: the flights you have tracked in FlightDex as a CSV or PDF file, made on your phone, with dates, routes, distance, gate-to-gate duration and any fare you recorded. It is ready for an expenses claim, or simply for keeping.
Seeing the record never needs Pro. Only the analysis and the export do.
